It was such a pleasure working with Darcy Miller—a mentor, friend, and former colleague at Martha Stewart Weddings—as well as the an amazing book team to bring Celebrate Everything! to life! The book is full of so many creative ideas and inspiration (literally thousands of ideas!)—truly is the crème de la crème of party books by the celebrations expert and founding editor of Martha Stewart Weddings. No detail left unturned + charming, thoughtful, and considered—true to Darcy herself.
This book will always have a special place in my heart—amidst working on the book, I found out about my diagnosis (literally between color reviews at HarperCollins). Darcy was always a shoulder to lean on and a listening ear with an incredible heart of gold. Beyond checking in on me and my family + offering to help however she could, she sure knows how to make even the most difficult moments sentimental and special. Care packages and sweet cards with her illustrations brought so much joy to the anxiety of the unknown + the dull moments of treatment. Through and though, she truly lives by the philosophy of celebrating everything.
I'm so grateful that I've been able to work alongside so many talented, hardworking creatives + the opportunity of working with Darcy (and so many others!) on this book further accentuated the gifts of this community. It's been such a treat to see this book out in the world + how much joy it's brought to others! Time to celebrate everything!
